As good as I hoped after the great reviews I read! We are cabin camping down the road and before a 6 mile hike on a 25 degree day we decided to start with a delicious meal that didn't require cooking on a snowy, frozen propane camp grill. I loved my veggie omelette with ham added and hash browns plus plenty of coffee. My son devoured his chicken and waffles. His friends enjoyed their biscuits and gravy and eggs with bacon and hash browns. Very attentive staff and clean restaurant. Lots of happy diners all around us. Highly recommend and now we know where to get breakfast in the area!

Stumbled upon this gem from an article on Illinois Family Destinations. I should have tried a skillet, as the guy next to me had one that looked killer. I've been getting a country Benedict lately the first visit to a new restaurant. It was great and the service was great too. Great family run restaurant. Nice to see they have a counter. Definitely will return for a skillet.

On a trip to Chicago, we stopped at Willow Springs for a bite. This place was pretty small, but was worth it. My son got a burger and fries and I got the biscuits and gravy with a side of hash browns. He liked the burger and fries. I think it was called a Cally Burger or something. It had avocado on it. My biscuits and gravy were really good. The gravy wasn't real peppery like some I've had. Could have been a little hotter though. Was just warm. The portions of both our meals were good size. Neither of us were able to finish. Service was nice and friendly. Orders came pretty quick. Overall, very nice experience. May go again when I'm there in a couple weeks.

Real Nice Place! Loved the food, very nice service, nice ambiance, like a ol family style . The food was really good, I loved the soup and chicken salad, we had 6 people, from cheeseburger's and chicken to Ruben sandwiches and a hobo skillet. We had a very nice time. And our server was so nice and professional. I highly recommenced this place . Its like a place that will bring back a mom and pop memory . I will go back :) Ya gotta try to chicken and dumpling soup! Sorry folks we were starving no pictures next time I will get them .

This is a tiny place with a tiny parking lot. Food is pretty good for a breakfast joint. Service people are usually pretty good. I got a skillet and is was really good. The place is about 15 minutes away but it is worth the drive. Fells kinda tucked away.

Good low key spot with good food and good service. If you are looking for fancy try again! Skillets and French toast were very good. Not crowded at 730 am on a Saturday

A True Happy Days Mom & Pop Diner!! This is THE diner if you want a simple no frills breakfast or lunch at reasonable $$! Must try's are the steak, potatoes and eggs or the Reuben w fresh fries which comes w a bowl of chicken + dumplings soup. The hostess's little granddaughter was there one day coloring while "Abuela" was busy. Maybe this is more a Grandma & Grandpa Diner :)

With cold and flu season approaching I wanted to share the best soup around : Chicken Dumpling from Willow Springs Family Restaurant. And they have it daily! Get the large, you won't be sorry. Comes with crackers and rolls. You'll be feeling better in a jiffy!
